About the role
Astria Learning is looking for a motivated and empathetic Admissions Counselor to guide prospective students through their enrollment journey. In this role, you will blend genuine relationship-building with a results-driven mindset — helping individuals find the right educational path while meeting enrollment goals.
What you'll do
- Manage a pipeline of prospective student inquiries from first contact through enrollment, maintaining consistent and timely follow-up at every stage
- Conduct consultative conversations (phone, video, and email) to understand each prospect's goals, concerns, and circumstances, and match them to the right program
- Apply structured, ethical closing techniques to move motivated candidates to a decision with confidence
- Accurately track all prospect interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM, ensuring data integrity and forecast reliability
- Collaborate with marketing and academic teams to align messaging and surface feedback from prospective students
- Meet and exceed individual enrollment targets while upholding Astria Learning's commitment to student outcomes and integrity
What we're looking for
- Experience in a consultative sales, admissions, enrollment management, or similar advisory role
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — you can listen actively, build rapport quickly, and adapt your style to different audiences
- A results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to close, follow up persistently, and overcome objections professionally and ethically
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing a high-volume pipeline simultaneously
- Proficiency with CRM tools and digital communication platforms
- A genuine commitment to student success and educational equity
Nice to have
- Prior experience in higher education, ed-tech, or workforce development admissions
- Familiarity with enrollment compliance standards and regulations (e.g., Title IV, state authorization)
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
- Experience working across multiple markets or regional territories simultaneously
