About the role

Astria Learning is building the leading community and knowledge hub for app professionals across Africa. As our Community Manager, you will be the driving force behind the Ecampus HUB — a fast-growing space where developers, founders, and digital creators connect, learn, and grow together. Based in Malawi and operating across key markets including Nigeria and Ghana, you will own the full community lifecycle: from welcoming the first-ever member to architecting the structures that support hundreds of thousands.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who loves people, understands the African tech ecosystem, and is energised by ambitious growth targets.

What you'll do

Community management

  • Run the day-to-day life of the Ecampus HUB: moderation, engagement, member support, and content flow.
  • Design and maintain the Master Community architecture: sub-groups, channels, and local chapters.
  • Own the onboarding experience: create clear application instructions and ensure every new member feels welcomed and set up for success.

Growth and partnerships

  • Identify, recruit, and coordinate influencers and local ambassadors to drive awareness, sign-ups, and sustained engagement.
  • Support and execute growth campaigns across Nigeria, Ghana, and Malawi.

Events and content

  • Plan and host regular webinars and community sessions featuring industry experts.
  • Conduct interviews with app professionals, founders, and community members for content and knowledge-sharing purposes.
  • Build and curate a living library of African app professionals: profiles, areas of expertise, and success stories.

Reporting and targets

  • Track and report on key community metrics, working toward agreed quarterly targets.
  • Key milestones: 500,000 members within the first 6 months; 1,000,000 members by month 12.

---

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the local tech and creator ecosystem in Africa.
  • Proven track record of working with influencers and delivering online events or webinars.
  • Comfortable setting and chasing growth targets; confident using data to inform decisions and report progress.
  • A self-starter who can work independently, prioritise effectively, and move quickly.

---

Nice to have

  • An existing network among app professionals, developers, or digital creators across Africa.
  • Experience scaling online communities to 100,000+ members.
