IT Project Manager
Overview
IT Project Manager
Astria Learning is an education-technology company dedicated to building scalable, high-quality software solutions that make a real difference in how people learn. We are looking for an experienced and organised IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of our software development and implementation projects.
In this role you will serve as the central link between clients, business stakeholders, development teams, UX/UI designers, and QA professionals — translating business needs into actionable requirements and ensuring every project is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven position that combines project management, business analysis, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll do
Project planning & delivery
- Own the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Define project objectives, scope, milestones, resource requirements, and success criteria; develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.
- Monitor progress, proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage scope changes and shifting priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.
- Oversee deployment readiness, client acceptance, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support.
Business analysis & requirements management
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into structured functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and measurable acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the SDLC and ensure development and QA teams have complete, actionable documentation before implementation begins.
- Facilitate requirements clarification sessions and evaluate proposed solutions for feasibility, usability, and alignment with business objectives.
Technical coordination & development management
- Coordinate daily priorities across software developers, QA engineers, UX/UI designers, and business analysts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess solution feasibility, implementation approaches, and system dependencies.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business language, and business requirements into language that technical teams can act on.
- Organise and facilitate sprint planning, progress reviews, and technical discussions; remove operational blockers to keep teams moving.
Software quality assurance & functional testing
- Take an active, hands-on role in functional validation — reviewing completed features against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as applicable.
- Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution; verify fixes and work with teams to prevent recurring issues.
- Validate software releases before client demonstrations, deployment, and final handover.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and release readiness procedures.
Product knowledge, demonstrations & implementation support
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Astria Learning's software platforms — their functionality, workflows, configurations, and integrations.
- Prepare and deliver professional product demonstrations for clients, prospective partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate client onboarding, system configuration, implementation activities, and user acceptance processes.
- Support the preparation of training materials, user guides, and product documentation.
Client & stakeholder management
- Act as the central coordination point between clients, management, business departments, and technical delivery teams.
- Communicate project progress, risks, decisions, and milestones clearly and in a timely manner.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, functionality, and implementation outcomes.
- Proactively address concerns, facilitate issue resolution, and escalate critical matters when necessary.
Documentation & process management
- Create and maintain comprehensive project and product documentation — including requirements, functional specifications, test cases, defect logs, release notes, meeting minutes, decision logs, and risk registers.
- Establish consistent documentation standards that support knowledge sharing, accountability, and operational continuity.
- Ensure all project information is organised and accessible within Company-approved systems.
Team coordination & leadership
- Coordinate task assignments, workload distribution, and operational priorities across project teams.
- Set clear expectations around ownership, deliverables, and deadlines; monitor progress and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to strengthen delivery quality; support onboarding and knowledge transfer for new team members.
- Participate in performance evaluations and support recruitment and capacity planning activities as needed.
- Foster a professional, proactive, and solutions-oriented team culture.
